I suppose you could say that a collaborative project only really starts when someone agrees to collaborate. By that reckoning, the Take It & Run project started 12 March 2010 at 20:41 when Thea Bowden and Lize Theron decided to sign up in a Marylebone pub.

At the showcase, Thea remarked off hand that it was slightly intimidating to be counted amongst such amazing pieces of art. So I pointed at the antique chair she had made her canvas, the antique chair that she had re-upholstered in velvet and silk and grown flowers from – ‘This,’ I said, ‘This is intimidating.’
