Yang Xi is bursting with life, very much like her hometown Shanghai. In a few short months of knowing each other she and I have already been creative collaborators on a cross cultural poetry project and a short film. I’m delighted to announce her as the first of a few Chinese contributors to Take It & Run.
What she took:
Where she ran:
She says “When I saw this I immediately thought of Yoga – being rooted in and on a route towards love and also we have a pose called ‘the tree pose’ which connects to the sketch. For me, love is about connection to people accross boundries like gender and race, so kissing was my way to show that.”
I think it’s interesting how differently the figures stand and kiss. And I also think the two guys at the end missed out.
